![]() If anyone has any idea what might be wrong, I'd be very grateful. My graphic card is a Radeon 5850 HD (severely outdated I know) and I run Windows 10 64 bit (LTSC). So basically, it seems I need to activate this option for Retroarch to work correctly on my PC.Īs I said, my test ROM worked fine on my laptop and also on two separate SMS emulators (Blastem and Kega), so I must be missing something and I'd like to know what. Even scanning contents, doesnt recognize the games and show them in the main menu, and also, even Loading the core from the Main Menu and then Starting the Core, RetroArch shuts down. I tried to alter all kinds of video settings to no avail and I was about to give up when I clicked on "Toggle Exclusive Fullscreen" as a last-chance thing and suddenly, the framerate climbed to 60 FPS and the game became playable. This happens only with PCSX2 core in RetroArch only. ![]() The problem does not occur on my much more recent Asus laptop where everything is fine. While trying to solve the issue, I found out that this is due to the framerate being only slightly above 30 FPS when it should of course of 60 FPS. Here's the issue: after installing Retroarch and launching a Master System rom, the game is unplayable (horribly slow and terrible audio). It’s for that reason that we don’t have a Linux. PCSX2 still has a lot of inherently nonportable code in it, from QtWidgets to libglib. Therefore, for now, the experimental PCSX2 core kinda is doing its own thing. ![]() It's quite old (2010) and certainly outdated by today's standards, but I figure it should be enough to play old 8-bit games. As of this moment a lot of work remains to be done on PCSX2 to sort out all the internals that are chockful of nonportable code. I have installed Retroarch on my desktop PC.
